Everybody's crazy about “Shabby fusion”!

06/11/2013

Shabby Fusion Style is a modification of the Shabby Chic style (a sloppy but classy style) in a more modern way. It was born from an idea by Architect Francesca Blasi who took inspiration for this reconsideration while she was modernizing her own house.

While Shabby chic style prefers lighter shades, from white to ivory, dove-grey, grey or pastel shades, shabby fusion introduces bright or intense colors, too, as long as they work as a connection between several styles our house is decorated with.

So,color harmoniously blends classical elements, modern and shabby ones, apparently different and having nothing in common. “Combining modern lines and design, I mean, with other classic or recycled ones through the aware use of color. That was what I meant to do”.
“A style, therefore, proposing to show how a space-house imaginative appreciation can be obtained through a skilled use of color, new dispositions, the recycling of objects with a strong evocative power and the production of new furnishings born from a fertile bind among memory and imagination”.

Within this new interior design form, window treatment curtains play an essential role. In their neutral colors, from white, to ivory and sandy, they represent a neutral but essential background  in which decorating elements harmoniously position as they are color stains on a canvas.
