COMMUNICATIVE FABRICS
01/07/2015
Nice, functional
and communicative fabrics. This is the requirement on which African culture is
based on: through colorful clothes women succeed in spreading information about
health, politics, religion and even in honoring an eminent person by perfectly
substituting to verbal communication.
The
beautiful textiles they wear are called “pagnes”. Wearing them is art: it requires so much
mastery in the gestures needed to arrange them and re arrange them again. They
are, above all, the object of an aesthetic assessment, a sign of prestige and
an instrument of seduction.
In western
world the situation is pretty much the same. Decorations aren’t the only
protagonists. In this case, textile fibers’ high quality standards, techniques
used in spinning , warpage and weaving, the inserted little details, most of
all if they are manufactured in Italy, really count.
An handmade
product presents some little imperfections which aren’t but a precious and
little detail to be proud of. The choice of an exclusive Made in Italy
manufacturing is the sign of a proved prestige. The use of precious materials
such as linen and silk is the evidence of a refined and polished style.
Apart from
this, fabrics are part of the creation of a new habitat, they are able to
communicate and spread the mood of the people who chose them through a
kaleidoscopic play of colors and images, so to raise pleasant emotions thanks
to their inner features, thus donating vitality, elegance and fantasy.
