ARCHITECTURE IN TEXTILES: CTA NEW PROPOSALS FROM URBAN COLLECTION

This new Urban collection is trying hard to translate into textile decoration new amazing waves and wefts taken from urban structural movement some illustrious Italian architects produced starting from XXI century: we are talking about Albini, Nervi, Ponti, Branzi, Mari and Munari whose extraordinary art and work were the inspirations for the most of Urban Collections’ articles proposed by CTA.

ALBINI

Albini line from Urban Collection by CTA recalls modern Italian architect and designer Franco Albini’s contemporary and meticulous style: a jacquard cloth with a ‘marbling effect’ and a soft touch (52% PL 48 %LI) proposes once again an essential style and a timeless refinement thus reproducing the same creative inspiration Albini used in its architectural works or product design. Albini line is ideal for window treatment curtains (also decorative curtains) and it is available in a 320 cm version. It comes in 5 different color nuances: natural, white, dove grey, grey and cocoa.

 

NERVI

Pier Luigi Nervi is one of the most important structural architects of 21st century international architectural background. Projects based on technical-structural inventive solutions where art and science created a perfect mix, inspired CTA Nervi fabric’s structure. It is a 100% PL compact cloth ideal for window treatment curtains. Available in a 300 cm version, it comes in 22 color variants from a pastel palette.

PONTI

Ponti line is a gauze effect textile; we are talking about a tube-shaped fabric on a blended polyester background (64%PL, 36% PAN) in the same Gio Ponti’s neat and refined style. This artist was the master of 21st century Italian architecture. His extraordinary architecture and work gave Italian design a new impulse in the post-war decades. Pontiis the ideal choice for window treatment curtains and it is available in 9 pastel nuances. 300 cm high version available.

BRANZI-MARI-MUNARI

Formal accuracy and recreational, democratic egalitarian spirit characterized these three major Italian industrial design representatives’ world: we are talking about Bruno Munari, Enzo Mari and Andrea Branzi. CTA included these three versatile fabrics (100% PL) in its Urban Collection because they are ideal for decorative purposes and for upholstery. They are available in a 300 cm high version. Branzi is a compact cloth, Munari is a twill wave cloth and Mari is an interwoven Panama effect multi-colored yarn fabric. All those three fabrics are available in 17 different color variants.
