SBID INFORMS US ABOUT 2013 TRENDS

Presented at Surface Design Show , in London, “Mix Trend Wall” is a project born from the cooperation of Vanessa Brady, SBID President and Global Color Research, consulting company on color working for Mix magazine an Mix Trends Color Forecast Book. The installation guided visitors on a tour , called REFLECT, dedicated to one of the main themes of 2013 Spring – Summer.
Products samples currently on market and some other prototypes from other emerging designers were put in order to show the application of the colors on different materials and finishing. Reflect is a very friendly theme, very easy to be applied in several settings, from the kitchen to the bathroom, expressing a new luxury conception in interior design, even more linked to concepts like happiness, health and privacy.
It’s a fundamental trend for spring-summer 2013 because it celebrates many aspects of non-displayed luxury, learning from the past and looking forward to future with quiet optimism. Reflecting surfaces effect is a must for next season because it arouses a sense of calm and self-examination, introducing another dimension to the palette. A trend suitable for sophisticated settings, mixing industrial and organic materials.
