CURTAINS AS DIVIDERS

urtains are a precious help when it comes to furnishing matters but sometimes, they can be both a design and a structural surplus: they can unexpectedly change the essence and dimension to some spaces! Here it is RE-SET, an installation recommended by Dutch Studio Inside Outside at La Biennale di Venezia (Architecture) where, thanks to two 16 metres long curtains, created some apparent divider walls that continually moved, change space perception from the visitor’s point of view . This studio is continually searching for new solutions giving birth to wider interiors starting from the materials. Cotton and linen are very often associated with PVC, colors like pink or white are added to silver and golden drapes in order to create extraordinary bright effects. The installation Re-SeT wants you to show how important experience in interior design is, as to significantly modify the entire space concept only with few changes. The Studio name itself refers to just the “inside and outside” dimensions. Indeed, curtains along with its divider function help putting in communication the inside with the outside , the house and the landscape.
