LET’S GET ACQUAINTED WITH POLYESTER AND VISCOSE
14/07/2015
Excellent
quality, great resistance, great color range. These are few features
characterizing two modern yarns such as polyester and viscose.
A difficult
choice between the two, which one’s better? They’re both excellent products,
they differ in some features but they’re perfect for whatever need.
Viscose or
artificial silk, belongs to the category of cellulosic artificial fibers
obtained after a high-trunk plant’s natural cellulose is processed.
Polyester
belongs to the category of organic synthetic fibers and it is obtained from
macromolecules of polyethylene
terephthalate (PET), that’s to say from plastic material.
Viscose is
softer and more velvety at our touch, it’s shiny and very natural, too. It
allows some precise and detailed embroideries while polyester is courser
elastic and cannot be rubbed so easily.
The first
guarantees a high speed in ease of movement in sewing machine without any
spin’s break while the second assures an high resistance and an increasing
high-quality.
Being them
not as delicate as wool, silk, cotton or linen, both yarns do not require
special maintenance.
When
choosing the product, we need to assess which is the setting we want to furnish
or the main required functionality: it is possible to opt for viscose or
polyester keeping in mind that they aren’t interchangeable. Anyway , in order
to create an end product which can take advantage of both wonderful strong
points they have, you can match easily both yarns.
