PITTI IMMAGINE FILATI: THE WORLDWIDE FASHION SHOWCASE

The
countdown for Pitti Immagine Filati 78th edition has begun. It is
about the most important showcase in the world whose main purpose is promoting
and developing fashion and fashion design industry.
This event
is addressed to the textile world, a world made of yarns, fibers and product in
these sectors that are collateral to spinning and knits. It takes place from
January 27th to 29th 2016 at Fortezza da Basso in
Florence, Italy.

Filati is an important observatory of spinning industry excellences where
buyers from all over the world can have a unique chance to meet and share their
experience with some popular and eminent designers from the most prestigious
brands. This showcase is ready to welcome every visitor in a very entertaining
and cultural atmosphere in addition to giving trendy previews and tips from
2017 next Collections.
‘Make it’
is the theme dedicated to craftsmanship world and to the rediscovery of the
roots of manual art. From it derived the choice of the new 2016 SPAZIO RICERCA
(Research Area) ‘Materiality’ – the
area dedicated to new tendencies and creative inspirations. Materiality puts at
the center what is ordinary, the
ordinary substance which becomes extraordinarythrough a processing and mastering of what is spontaneous.
Last
edition registered the participation of 136 brands, 5.200 buyers on a 20.000 sm
surface. Moreover, in order to suggest new creative sparks for the future, from January 27th to 31st2016 @ Stazione Leopolda in Florence, will take place Vintage Selection 27th edition, the showcase dedicated
to vintage design with a view to past centuries. During this event you will
also have the chance to go shopping, entertain yourself immersed in past ages.
