2017 PARIS DESIGN WEEK: THE BEST OF INTERNATIONAL DESIGN

Paris Design Week: the appointment with the Design week is going to take place from September 8th to 16th 2017, this is the first year Maison & Objet hosted this amazing event thus making Paris the European Design epitome in a very international dimension.

Paris Design Week is getting a more and more important event over the years since it has reached amazing numbers and goals: 250 presences, 7 different artistic paths, conferences, 4 headquarters and the “Now! Le Off”, an event dedicated to promising, new talented designers and their art.

PDW17 main themes are:

-         BORDERLESS DESIGN: PDW17 gets all artistic talents from the Atlantic to the Urals involved. Ukrainian designers created “Transformation”, a particularly important exhibition. It is about how things or complements can change the space we live in so that our emotions and perceptions change, too. Eco-sustainable, multifunctional products made of recycled materials can change our lives thus making them more beautiful and simpler.

-         STUFF OF DESIGN: Paris Design Week gives value and rediscovers materials such as wood, acrylics and pottery.  Perfect combinations along with unique handcrafted techniques and design create new wonderful furnishing articles. An absolute enjoyable experience!

-         GALLERIES AND CONCEPT STORES: dialogs between fashion and design world create a new reflexion space. The new center of the creative process are Aesthetic and functionality thus giving life to innovative home décor and office furnishing elements.

-         WHAT’S DESIGN? It is not just something that makes things refined, beautiful and stylish! We need to have a keen eye on the design interpretation in several field: retail design, brand identity, service design and product design.

-         UNDER CONSTRUCTION: Paris Design Week event displays special projects and installations within a very enjoyable pedestrian path. Original solutions for each visitor who is trying to draw inspiration for his own home décor projects.

-         YOUNG TALENTS: It is the event where young talents can prove their art and mastery in design. “Now!Le OFF” is the event dedicated to young talented designers. Creativity, art and new talent to be tested soon!
