Although the appointment with Maison et Objet represents a unique and unmissable event for those who gravitate towards interior design world, fairs are a very common and valued practice in our country, too.

On January 22nd 2014 in Milan, HOMI closed its doors. A fair that, in 2014, replaced Macef, the International Home Fair.

861,11 ft2 exhibition area, 1.500 companies and 3 macro-areas: LIVING HABITS, GIFTS & EVENTS and FASHION & JEWELS.

HOMI “is meant for being an innovative formula inspired by rapidly changing and transforming tastes and trends”.

The  name itself has a particular meaning ,”O refers to  a circle enclosing and symbolically wrapping up the person, his spaces and habits and the final MI stands for Milan as to honor the city where the exhibit took place”.

A great vision in which converges voices and talents that give life to elegance and original proposals together with some handcrafted knowledge or offers of entrepreneurial creativity.

For those who hadn’t the possibility to visit this exhibition , starting from February 3rd2014, HOMIPLUS is  online, that’s to say, a web transformation of the real event, thus permitting to all non-professionals who are interested in it, to surf the net among the fair’s 10 exhibition areas among which the textile area (Home Textiles).

Home Textiles is “a space suspended between fashion and décor, cloths’ draperies and color nuances conceived to play with home spaces shades and lights. In world houses, all the world is in a house: from oriental rugs and hammam’s warm atmospheres to country’s sober or multicolor elegance, from Italian tradition laces and refined brocades to typically Nordic patchworks” .
