2016 NEW PANTONE PALETTE

In order to
grant the right color communication and reproduction among all the professional
operators in the field, Pantone was created with this purpose in mind. It is a
sort of color encyclopedia where you can draw inspiration from or a sort of
trailblazing for future trends to be adopted in color matters. Pantone
Universe was born for this reason, a worldwide popular brand involving
every field.
December is
the month when the color of the year is chosen. However, 2016 is an innovative
year because two colors were chosen and, surprisingly, they are completely
different tones, in their nature and character than previous years.
In order to
award the winners, a team made of professionals tried to research, understand
and study the rising tendencies and trends also drawing inspiration from the
weak signs coming from art exhibitions, fashion, cinema and music.
So, Serenity
and Rose Quartz, two light delicate comforting colors - which have got nothing
to do with the stronger colors of previous years - are 2016 choice.
The purpose
is creating a heavenly, idyllic dimension, a serene atmosphere useful to donate
tranquility and serenity to the people.
Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Color Institute Executive
Director, states that, due to its calming effect “Pantone Serenity 15-3919 has
got a relaxing power, thus, conveying a sense of relief almost bringing us into
a celestial dimension while Pantone Rose Quartz 13-1520 is a delicate but
persuading shade conveying a sense of grace, the same feeling we sense looking
at a serene sunset or a blossoming flower”.
