FUORISALONE GIVES SOME EXPO 2015 PREVIEWS

Now that
Fuorisalone is 13 years old doesn’t need any presentation.
However,
what best characterized this new edition was the presence of several Food
events: Fuorisalone was, as Milan mayor Giuliano
Pisapia ironically stated, the “appetizer/cocktail” of the upcoming EXPO 2015.
Carbonated cocktails served in a diamond-shaped
bar, events organized by F.A.I. (Fondo Ambiente Italiano)about converting seeds
into delicious foods, Info point area as a pool hall, regional street food
served on pickup trucks by chefs de rang, an open air permanent vegetable
garden, gourmet recipes, picnics immersed in some perfumed settings, wonderful
dinners by professional chefs.
Besides the relaxing moments and the tasting
corners were presented the latest eco-friendly and sustainable technologies connected
with food in every moment: preparation, cooking, presentation, consume, food
preservation and transport.
There were a lot of installations aimed at
explaining the existing relationship between art and nutrition through artworks
along with artists from all over the world.
Since two of the major design world showcases,
DESIGN WEEK and EXPO 2015 intersect each other just in our northern commercial
capital, Studiolabo developed the Design
Expo 2015 project aimed at promoting Milan as Design world capital.
