DESIGN, MODERN HERITAGE

“A house without furnishing complements is an empty house, so unable to accommodate life” [G. Ottolini, La casa attrezzata]

We are in the middle of 18th century when in France and England a completely new  world started to change. It changed because in this time the world begun its emptying  from the centennial habits and old traditions. In one word it started projecting itself in a consuming oriented dimension.

We are taking about design.

It’s not about architecture, nor sculpture or painting but it corresponds to symbols, colors and lifestyles.

It’s about communication and entertainment, a union between functionality and aesthetics.

In this context items are reassuring, they remove bad sensations such as loneliness and fear.

Design complements can be grouped into three categories:

1.       The original model, that’s to say the prototype, the radical and  invention than the previous;

2.       The replica/reproduction that is to say the model repeated at a later stage;

3.       The evolutionary line or the model that has changed and it is still keeping its own traditional roots.

So, the designer is someone who studies and researches on old shapes in order to create some new ones. He is interested in the visual aspect and in the emotional involvement always assuring and guaranteeing functionality to the objects.

For this reason our houses seems like some small theatres liven up by capable actors who pass down thousands’ sensations and they are able to communicate different feelings, moods,  states of mind and cultures.

Our house thus becomes the great container of these “little things”.

But when was design born?

Exactly, design was born when man has satisfied his need for a useful highly technologic product. So, in order to accomplish with a need for beauty, he has decided to make it esthetically advanced, too.

Nowadays, in order to guarantee an essential  surplus in a more and more esthetically oriented society above all by some individuals willing to create perfect and unique products, design is actually  in art, architecture, general  industry and other sectors, too.

CTA shares completely this concept by creating some simply- to- use and nice products also personalizing them with some newer color shades by using high-quality materials. They are always the perfect choice every client has made depending on his  or her real needs.
