HOW MUCH IS “FAKE MADE IN ITALY”?

28/01/2015

Made in Italy products’ falsification and counterfeiting  isn’t an exclusive companies’ plague, it is, nowadays considered a global issue.

The  missed sales’ volume can’t increase the valuable fund to create incomes and work in such a difficult period.

We may reasonably think that the most authentic and effective made in Italy products’ safeguard is closely related to the defense’s level raising against counterfeiting. The use of special recommendations to identify real made in Italy products is another way to discover fake ones.

The legislation about this issue is somewhat problematic and confused and often makes  honest Italian companies’ lives and activities very difficult while giving more liberty to companies on the edge of legality.

According to some actual valuations, by 2015 the world counterfeiting total value will reach 1,700 billion dollars.

This becomes even more alarming if we consider  that this issue as an increasing and problematic one due to the volumes and “payload”: the counterfeited products are actually increasing thus naturally shifting luxury goods production which was once the main target of counterfeiting, also the production and commercialization of fake goods which risk consumers’ safety and health (medicines/drugs –food and beverage- toys and furnishing components).
