HOUSE TURNS …..STRIPED

26/02/2014

It’s been long since stripes are in the lime lights and they prove once again as the most fashionable motif trend for the next season in interior design field.

Ton sur ton option, contrasting tones or matching patterns such as checked or floral , they all give a pleasant, classic or modern effect, depending on the fabrics’ shades we use.

But, think about an impure structure, the long lasting western stripe, a mark of exclusion or transgression. During medieval  times striped fabrics were considered devilish creations, while modern society connected stripes to the lowest  classes such as slaves, servants, sailors or lifers.

In the 60s, when Pop Art spread, stripes were legitimized for good. In this period special patterns such as stripes, pois or geometric shapes were very popular.

Stripes are now thick or thin, horizontal or vertical and they  are all the rage in private houses and offices, too. We can find them on wall papers, rugs, fabrics,  window curtains, armchairs or sofas. Color is a very important element, too: white or black stripes are the ideal choice for elegant and refined featured interiors; red donates energy and green dynamism. Recently, very light shades ranging from white, grey or dove grey are to the top because they give settings a particularly discrete and bright elegance.

We have created our collections keeping in mind that our aim was this precise striped  motif. Here in the pictures, you can find some models taken from our last collection Magazine or from the previous ones, such as Cottage or Movida.
