EMOTIONAL DIALOGUE FABRICS

Presented at DMY, a Berliner event awarding the newest and most interesting experimental design, Svenja Keune and Larissa Muller s’ project just impressed us so much for its innovative idea applied to the most ordinary is in our lives, that’s to say, a fabric. Be it clothes, be it furnishing going through all the other uses we can make with it because, it goes without saying, it is an essential part of our lives.
The creators of this project are textiles design and computer science students; they connected their competences in order to create an interactive fabric, able to react to emotions from the people who are wearing it. That’s why they called it EMOTIONAL DIALOGUE. Simply touching it, it changes its form or it react if someone put in contact something or someone with it. It is sensible to light, too, creating motion effects on its own surface.
