DIMMING FABRICS AND BLACKOUT FABRICS: WHAT IS DIFFERENT?

When it comes to decorating our house or to choosing decorative elements for a hotel it’s important to opt for dimming window curtains that can shade light from the outside. This will be the plus for a perfect privacy.
There are two kinds of fabrics that can guarantee it: dimming fabrics and blackout fabrics. Let’s find out more. Choosing between a dimming fabric or a blackout fabric depends on how great the desired dimming power is.
Dimming fabrics have different dimming levels. Our article Notte from Zeus Collection (available in 32 color variants, height: 295/300 cm, weight: 258 gr/mq) made in a 100% flame-retardant polyester has got an average dimming power varying from 90% to 99%.
Ares fabric from the same collection (available in 19 color nuances, h: 295/300 cm, w: 283ge/mq) is a 100% flame-retardant polyester, too. It has got an average dimming power varying from 90% to 95%. It is the ideal choice for window treatment curtains draperies and curtains.
Tamara from Purity Collection (h:295/300 cm available in 22 color variants, made in a 100% flame –retardant polyester and with an average dimming power from 90% to 99% guarantees an excellent privacy level letting a little light to penetrate from the curtain.
An higher, complete dimming power can be obtained with blackout fabrics. The currently available articles do not let the sunlight in at all. They have got a super dimming power.

Both kind of fabrics are very useful for settings where there aren’t rolling shutters for architectural or aesthetic needs. They in fact filter sunlight and heat so that they keep the setting cool and enjoyable during the summer.
In order to dim a setting completely with our dimming fabrics the best solution will be creating a double window curtain, the union of two dimming window treatment curtain thus creating an harmonious and even more dimming atmosphere.
