The
appointment with “Maison & Objet” is back. It is the most important and
eminent international exhibition proposing the most innovative ideas in
fashion/home furnishing fields: furniture, accessories, decorations, furnishing
compliments for indoor or outdoor settings.
This fair
was born on 1995 in Paris, fashion and art emblem. It is an event mainly addressed
to interior design and home furnishing fields’ professionals. Every year, in
order to draw inspiration from new ideas, tips or simply to be always up to
date, architects, interior designers, importers, large-scale retail buyers and
specialized stores join this very important event.
“Maison
& Objet” takes place in Paris but there is also another edition in Syngapor, Asia and starting from year 2015 there will be another one in Miami Beach FL,
U.S.A.
“Maison
& Objet” last edition is just over. It took place in Paris from September
05th-09th, 2014 (in conjunction with the Paris Design
Week, scheduled from Sept.06 th-13th, 2014) hosting more than 3000
exhibitors in almost 250000 m2 space. This edition was remarkable for a new
stand opening ceremony, in particular, stand number 7, a whole business lounge
addressed to company meetings and round tables or workshops. “Home &
Design” was the headquarters for the OBSERVATORY HOUSE, a facility intended for
the monitoring of consumers’ new trends and emergent new life styles.
“Home &
Design” privileged most of all the architectural dimension then the decorative
one paving the way to the next year edition topic, that’s to say
“Sharing”. “Sharing” meant as creative
sharing through digital communicative modern systems. All that the “self” explores becomes part of
a wider world, the “Us”world. Information, goods, services, experiences are
shared through the new networking tools.
In order to
deepen these topics, during the days of the exhibition the Observatory
organized some workshops dedicated to digital sharing and new communicative
methods.
For this
purpose, they created a dedicated useful App aimed at getting the complete
expositors’ list, plans, programs, workshops’ list. For more detailed info, a
special program QRCode will inform you about all the present expositors.
Moreover,
for the first time in this September edition “Maison & Objet” |Projects|
Awards awarded some innovations presented by expositors.
