DANCE: HUMAN LIFE SYMBOLIC REPRESENTATION
22/10/2014
Dance was a very popular and loved topic among Post-Impressionist painters. As those artists did, we drew inspiration from dance to create and name after it the new 2014 Centro Tendaggi Arredamento CTA collection.
Edgar Degas and Henri Matisse, for example, were Impressionism most eminent representatives and interpreted dance as the major allegory of human life. They carefully observed movements, details and all the transformations connected with light, shape and color thus establishing the main principles of such an important and original artistic movement spread in France during the second half of 19thcentury.
All the fabric lines by CTA belonging to DANCE Collection are named after the most popular Impressionist painters who tried to represent nature in an extremely personal and emotional way, not only simply superficially depicting like previous impressionists did.
CTA new fabrics are completely in line with that impressionist pictorial atmosphere and they are the expression of balanced proportions created on yarns by shapes, neat outlines, lively colors, light cones thus converting them in true pictorial canvas.
Product of a long research on fashion, design and art trends, new CTA collection is full of curious influences coming from different parts of the world thus giving space to waves and wefts with some lively and neat geometric shapes, amusing alternations of glossy and opaque yarns as well as embroidered motifs, engraved decorations and transparent contrasts that creates some joyful alternation between full areas and empty ones.
The peculiarity of this new Dance collection is the ability to fully satisfy all stylistic needs of whatever living setting: fabric ranges carefully selected are part of the collection for matching purposes in a joyful swirl of nuances, motifs and particular finishing techniques to donate settings an original artistic and modern touch.
All fabric lines are perfectly matching even though they are created for different uses ( fabrics for window treatment curtains, fabrics for light upholstery or decorative purposes, this last use is the most privileged one of this 2014 collection meant to expand and enlarge the proposed range.
