HOW TO GIVE COMFORT AND CHARACTER TO YOUR SETTINGS
19/11/2014
Ancient
Egyptians Pharaohs and Old China Emperors already used pillows, a luxury
exclusively addressed to aristocrat families and made of very solid resistant
materials such as stone, wood and pottery, finely decorated with precious
materials: pearls, paintings. Only later, only with the Greeks and the Romans
the first version of a soft pillow appeared. It was made of straw and feathers
all covered in some fabrics and finely embroidered; it was an accessory that
only people belonging to more well off families had and used in some nuptial
trousseaus or grave goods.
Later,
pillows became an ordinary accessory thus becoming the natural expression of
comfort to be used on beds and sofas.
Today, a
pillow has got a double purpose: donating comfort and giving settings an
original personal style.
On your top
left you can find Cezanne, Munich and Derain fabrics while on your top right
the combination of decorative or square pillows made of Degas fabrics or in a Van
Gogh fabric variant with a Ensar fabric insert.
Pillow has
got a double use, too: it can be placed on a bed or a seat or even becoming part
of it so that it will later convert itself into a real upholstery.
Below, you
can find a chair in Derain fabric, Van Gogh fabric Pouf Sofa and a chair upholstered with
Cezanne textile. They are the true expression of how a fabric can donate
personality ,originality and style to some settings.
What is the common thread among the various aspects connected with using a pillow? PERSONALIZATION! Whether you use it to express emotions , to make a setting cozier or to over furnish your sofas or beds with pillows it’s necessary creating the right ones so that they will be 100% in line with the style you like best.
