BRERA DESIGN DISTRICT IS THE PROTAGONIST OF A MOVIE DOCUMENTARY

It is a
year full of initiatives for design and fashion world lovers.
From April
14th to 19th 2015, in Milan, is possible to attend to two
important events: the Salone Internazionale del Mobile @ Rho Fiera and its “alter
ego” event down in Milan streets, the
Fuorisalone.
From May 1stto October 31st , 2015, the long expected Expo edition, the Universal Exhibition which
takes place every five years, will be launched in Milan.
The main
objective isn’t only to promote B2B
meetings but most of all supporting and fostering art and creativity since forever
characterizing our country and making it an excellence worldwide. So, it is not
a week full of events but a rich yearfull of events which proclaim Milan as the most important international showcase in design world.
For this reason the idea of a special initiative was born: to produce a 52 min.
documentary called Design Capital? I sette giorni che fanno di Milano la
capital del Design. ( Design
Capital? The Seven days event which makes Milan the Design Capital).
It is not
an institutional product but the story of different personalities, from the
well-known designer to the historic company, from via Tortona’s doorman to Salone del Mobile organizer/
planner cooperating to create the successful image of Milan as Design City thus
tracing back the Salone and
Fuorisalone’s histories.
The
documentary will be presented on April
10th 2015; it will be promoted and distributed in international networks.
A
production aimed at well explaining what these events are about and what we
have to expect from them in next days.
